How to Become Born From Above

Don’t be surprised when I tell you that all of you must be born from above. (John 3:7, God’s Word® Translation)

Salvation is a gift from God. John 3:16 is more than just a sign held up in stadiums. It says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” These words were spoken by Jesus, the Savior that came to give His life for mankind.

The following excerpt from pages 129-130 of the book, Smile, Laugh & Be Happy, written by our Prophet/Pastor, Dr. Bacer J. Baker.
 
“All you need to do is admit that you need Someone greater than yourself to take lordship of your life. Then you simply believe and do what the scripture says. It says in Romans 10:9-13 Amplified Bible:

‘Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. 11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. [Ps 34:22; Isa 28:16; 49:23; Jer. 17:7.] 12 [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith]. 13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. [Joel 2:32.]’

Now repeat this out loud: ‘Lord I need you to be my Savior and Deliverer. Jesus, I believe You died for my sin and that God raised You from the dead. Come into my life and take over. I surrender my life to You and I will obey you. I thank You for my new life. I now belong to and will spend eternity with You. Amen.’”

As you read the quotation above, did you also pray the prayer? Yes? PRAISE GOD! YOU ARE NOW BORN FROM ABOVE! To quote Dr. Baker:

Congratulations!!! You have made a choice to give up thinking and feeling bad, sad or mad, because you know the truth:

“A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing…” Proverbs 17:22a AMP

And for that truth, you can smile, laugh and be happy!
